Be a Saint - Sessions Overview
Session 1: Image of God
This section emphasises the unique and priceless nature of being made in God's image. Augie will explore what it means to be created in God's image, focusing on our inherent value and purpose. He will use examples from saints to illustrate how we are called to love, create, and serve. Theological insights include understanding our identity in Christ and recognising our worth. An engaging activity will help students internalise these concepts.
Session 2: Relationship with Jesus
Augie will differentiate between knowing about Jesus and having a personal relationship with Him. The session will cover how prayer and conversation with Jesus foster this relationship. Augie will share his testimony, illustrating how anyone can strive to be a saint despite imperfections through God's mercy and the power of resilience. An activity will help students apply these principles to their own lives.
Session 3: Be a Saint
This section will provide practical steps to live out the call to sainthood. Augie will discuss the importance of understanding one's purpose, the necessity of community (especially the Church), and how our witness through behaviour and faith impacts others. He will inspire students to pursue holiness by using examples of saints and exposing students to heroic real-life stories. Augie will incorporate his musical talents to make the message relatable and engaging. A concluding activity will encourage students to reflect on and commit to their journey towards sainthood.
